COPPERBELT Minister Elisha Matambo says government will try to dialogue with Copperbelt University Lecturers who have resumed their sit-in protest. And Matambo says he cannot rule out political influence in the protests. Unionised Academic Staff at the second highest learning institution in the country, CBU, unanimously agreed to resume a sit-in protests which they first began in March this year. The protests are aimed at pressing for a conclusion to the collective bargaining process, and to demand that the government releases all funds allocated to CBU so that all the outstanding gratuities are paid.
